The Type D Visa
Getting your visa is an important step before coming to Ukraine. If you need a visa to enter Ukraine, you must apply for a Type D student visa at a Ukrainian embassy or consulate in your country.

When applying at the consular office, you will need to prepare the following documents:
- Valid Passport
- Completed Visa Application Form
- One Colour Photo (35 × 45 mm)
- Valid Health Insurance
- Proof of Consular Fee Payment
- Official Invitation for Study
- Biometric Data (Fingerprints & Photo)

Crucial: You must apply for your Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) within 15 working days after your arrival in Ukraine. This procedure is handled at the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
The permit allows you to legally reside in Ukraine for the entire duration of your studies.

Final Formalities
Complete your Residence Registration at your university dormitory or private housing within the required timeframe. Additionally, undergo a Medical Checkup as part of the university admission standards.
