Moldova e-Visa

Moldova issues two visa types online: Transit (Type B) and Short stay (Type C). Everything else must go through a consulate. This page explains who needs a visa at all, who needs an invitation letter, and exactly where IS Group can help.

What IS Group handles

We prepare and file Moldova Transit (Type B) e-visas, and only for applicants who already hold a valid Ukrainian work visa or study visa.

That is not an arbitrary restriction. A transit visa is granted to travel through Moldova to a third country, and the application must show approval to enter that third country. Your Ukrainian work or study visa is that approval. Without it there is nothing to transit towards, and the application fails.

We also reserve your bus from Chișinău to Ukraine as part of the same service. A transit application has to show onward travel, so the booking is part of the paperwork rather than an extra.

We do not handle Moldova tourist, business, study or work visas, and we do not obtain Moldovan invitation letters.

Transiting Moldova on your way to Ukraine?

If you already hold a Ukrainian work or study visa, send us your passport details and a copy of that visa and we will tell you straight away whether we can file your transit e-visa.

Fees are per applicant. The e-visa fee is set by Moldova, not by us, and is payable whether or not the application succeeds — confirm the current amount on the official portal before you pay. All fees are payable in full before we file.

Step 1 — Do you need a visa at all?

Citizens of the countries below may enter Moldova without any visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. If your country is on this list, you need nothing from us and nothing from a consulate.

Step 2 — The shortcut most people miss

If you hold a valid visa or residence permit issued by an EU or Schengen state, the United Kingdom, the United States or Canada, you may travel to Moldova for its period of validity without a Moldovan visa, and you are exempt from the invitation requirement.

Two limits. A transit visa from those countries does not count. And the rule does not extend to every nationality — it applies to the countries footnoted in the Moldovan law, which excludes most of the invitation-required list. Check before you rely on it.

Step 3 — Do you need an invitation letter?

Not for a transit visa. Moldovan law exempts applicants for a transit visa and an airport transit visa from the invitation procedure entirely — whatever your nationality.

This is the single most useful fact on this page for our clients. If you are transiting Moldova on the way to Ukraine, the 67-country list below does not apply to you.

Visa needed, but no invitation required
